General Position Overview
Blue State Digital (BSD), a strategic consulting and technology firm, seeks a QA Manager to build testing infrastructure and to develop smart deployment processes.
This is a full-time position based in Blue State Digital’s Boston office.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for an exceptional QA manager to help develop our testing and deployment processes. This person will be responsible for creating and executing QA plans, gathering, analyzing, and reporting on quality metrics, and working with the development team to create an effective software release process. As the team grows, this person will be responsible for hiring and managing additional QA staff.
Skills and requirements:
- At least 5 years software QA experience, at least 3 of which should be working with web sites.
- Some experience hiring and managing staff.
- Strong familiarity with web site software architecture and testing best practices.
- Experience working in a fast-paced web startup environment with frequent code releases.
- Experience testing large web applications.
- Ability to clearly report problems and provide risk assessments to development team.
